I can't imagine Dylan writting anyway but rambling(not always a bad thing). Also, he wouldn't write the book with him portrayed as a musical pioneer because he would never admitt to being one. Personally I have not read the book as of yet but from the sounds of what you have said it takes a real Dylan dork to get into it. I will loan you a biography that you might like better.
