Whew. That’s it, the sixth straight hour of college basketball.
I’m going to take a break now, mainly because the news is on soon. This ends the live-blogging portion of the tournament. I’ve got an important meeting tomorrow, and I’ve got some important drinking to do later on. It will be St. Patrick’s Day, after all. And I got bored anyway.

corey, so far i’m 100%. never pick against wisc.-milwaukee, they always win one. just so you know i picked montana as my 5-12 upset and they are winning. also my alabama pick looked like a lock until about ten minutes ago, now it’s close 88-85 with like 20 secs. unfortunately my final four is two ones and two twos, i think i’m gonna lose. last year i won my office pool. this year i am my own office pool so i automatically win, but let’s hope i do as well as i did last year anyway

Yup. I’m only 5-2 so far, but I started off last year horribly and ended up second by one first round game.
Oh well… I have confidence in more of my picks tomorrow. Today featured a lot of my own “geez… should I pick this team” games.
Of course, I could be killed with B.C. or UCLA. In fact, I probably will be.

dammit. if i had known iona had a guy with a mohawk i would have picked them in a second, but go lsu i guess. i’ve got ucla in the final four, but they will win today, don’t worry.
barring a huge collapse by illinois i’ll be 12-0 at 10. thanks to gw coming from 18 (18!) down to win and gonzaga down by 4 with 2 minutes left coming back to win. i’ve got duke, syracuse, indiana and washington.

Bah… I got killed. Someone convinced me to take SD state. I picked UNCW because of the home court. So, unfortunately, i’m a pitiful 11-5 — a much worse start than last year.
Sometimes I feel like I’ve overthought the tourney — which is exactly what I’ve done. I’ve overthought it. I should have just gone with my gut, instead of convincing myself that ‘Cuse was still on a roll and that homecourt to the OTHER North Car. mattered.
i know what you mean, over the last couple of years i’ve come up with my own theory on filling out my bracket. i call it the “if it takes more than ten minutes, you’re doomed” theory. last year i was the runaway winner picking the final four, the championship game and the score correctly. it is obvious that even though i took about nine minutes this year, i overthought as well. if you look at my bracket you can clearly see that i picked texas am, then stupidly scribbled it out to go with ‘cuse. except for that, i was smart by going as fast as i could.
iowa just killed me. i had them in the elite 8 (stupid, i know but that’s the danger of the theory). but i did have bucknell, nova, wv, osu, ‘zona, georgetown and memphis. so still pretty good. in case you care, tonight i’ve got pitt, msu, cal, uconn, kansas, north carolina, texas and uab. i worry most about the cal pick for some reason. i picked uab because of the wisc-milwaukee rule, aka the uab rule, always pick them to win one, also kentucky always fucks things up. go golden bears!
